Betelgeuse VI was Tharg's home planet.
It had rolling glass plains, three moons and a red sky[1]. Tharg liked to listen to the singing mountains[2].
Prime ministers had been abolished many years previous to Tharg's creation of 2000AD[3].
The ruler was Ragnar, who reached his Plutonium Jubilee in earth year 1977, which marked 500 years of his being ruler. The celebrations were expected to last for 10 years[3]. By the end of 1980, the 593rd course of the Grand Celebration Banquet was being served[4].
