Matt Smith is the current editor of 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine. He lives in Oxford[1].

Smith has read 2000AD since 1985[1].

Before working for 2000AD, Smith worked for Pan MacMillan book publishers for three years as a desk editor[1]. Following the change in ownership of 2000AD from Egmont to Rebellion in July 2000, Smith started as assistant editor to Andy Diggle, the new editor at the time. From December 2001 / January 2002, Smith has been editor of 2000AD[1].

He became editor-in-chief of the 2000AD titles in January 2006 and, after Alan Barnes' resignation, became editor of the Judge Dredd Megazine in February 2006, Smith has also been editor of the Megazine[1].
