Stickleback was known as The Pope of Crime and lived in London. He was the titular character of Stickleback

He once saved the life of the father of the White Lotus Empress by whom he also had a son[1]

Behind the ScenesEdit

Ian Edginton was inspired by characters from his childhood such as The Spider and The Black Max to write a story where the villain was the hero. Bill Sykes, Fagin, Arthur Daley and Moriarty also influenced Edginton.

Visually, Stickleback is very loosely based on the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Joel Grey from Cabaret, Brick Top in Snatch, Alec Guinness' Fagin and Beetlejuice[2].
